Online registration system - HMS
First-time account setup
All paramedics registered with CPPEI must have an account in the HMS. Regardless of the registration type, please follow these steps to set up your account for the first time:
- Go to the HMS, click on Register now and create the basic account by selecting the type of registration for which you are applying and your professional designation, providing your first and last name and a valid email address; set up your password. NOTE: you will not be able to log in before your basic account is approved.
- Pay the application fee—follow the payment instructions on screen.
- After your payment is received and your basic account approved by the Registrar, you will get an email notification sent to the email address you provided. Follow the link in that notification to log in for the first time.
- Fill out all the mandatory information and upload the documents required for the type of registration that applies to you. You will find the instructions within the system. If mandatory information or documents are missing in a section of your profile, you will see a symbol on the tab linking to that section.
- After the Registrar approves your documents and information, find the payment instructions and pay the appropriate fee(s) that apply to your registration type.
Troubleshooting
Did not get the password reset email message?
Check your spam or junk folder. Make sure that you whitelisted the system's email address (see the instructions in the green box above). If you are still not getting the system's message, make sure that you used the same email address you provided to the College, and that you don't have any typos when entering the address in the form.
The system not behaving as expected?
If you encounter any unexpected system behaviour, or get any errors while updating your profile, please record the steps you took before the error occurred and report those steps and the exact wording of the error to the registrar's office. In your report, please include:
- the information about the device you were using to access the system;
- operating system version on your device;
- browser version;
- the exact wording of the error message, if there was one.
The more details you provide, the easier it will be to investigate the problem.
My documents won't upload...
Please check if your document is in an acceptable format (.jpg, .png, .pdf) and not larger than 8 MB. If it is, and you are still having trouble, please reach out and we will assist you.
Account maintenance
After you are fully registered with the College, you will be able to maintain the information in your account - your member profile information (contact, employment, education, etc.), your professional currency hours and continuing education and competency information, and view your payment history. You will also be able to download your certificate of registration and payment receipts.
